This painting of Turko was a birthday gift from my friend Marilyn Wann in 1994. At the time I had recently found some awesome vintage hunting lodge curtains and was looking for other things to transform my apartment with a hunting lodge theme. She said she found this at some junk store in San Francisco. I immediately fell in love with it and it has ever since been the focal point of my living room.
Turko has been a constant source of comfort and curiosity. I love the fall colors and enjoy looking at the painting. I don't have a dog, so Turko's become my imaginary dog for the last 17 years.
About Me:
I'm Krissy. I make zines and collect antique postcards and ephemera. You can keep up with me at a number of places available at those links.
